Sound Digital Amp Guide: How To Choose The Right Wireless Amp?

sound digital amp

Recently we found that more and more people want to upgrade their audio system into a wireless audio system, but many people are new to this area so they do not know how to choose the right product for themselves. Among these devices, sound digital amplifiers are more complicated, because they involve more specification parameters, such as audio amplifier power, speaker impedance and so on. So, how to choose the right wireless sound digital amplifier to meet the needs? In this article, we will focus on our wireless sound digital amplifier, to lead you to select the best Arylic wireless sound digital amplifier product for you.

Article Map

Step1: Clarify What Application For The Sound Digital Amp

First you have to sort out your own application scenario for the wireless sound digital amplifier product, such as how much space available to set up, what kind of audio sources you want to stream from, what devices you want to output to, and how to integrate with your existing devices. Like your AV receiver, audio amplifier, your speakers or other audio system etc. Let's start by talking about how the space of the environment will affect it.

Step 2: Consider Space factor

For example, the larger the area to be covered, the higher the volume you need, then you have to pick a more powerful sound digital amplifier to meet your expectations for playback volume. And you must also consider the impedance of the speakers and the power supply, after the combination of each, you can get the power output you want to power your system. Generally speaking, such as some small rooms, perhaps your bedroom, or studio. If you're not listening to the kind of music that needs to be loud like having a party, the output performance of our A30+ audio amplifier will meet your needs. A30+ can power a peak output of 35W*2 at 18 volts, a total of 70W with 4 ohm speakers(35watts left channel, 35watts right channel). And in general zones, such as living rooms, or kitchens are very suitable for A50+ audio amplifier which can power a peak 50W * 2(50watts left channel, 50watts right channel), a total of 100W output at 24V with 4 ohm speakers. And this is the common output specifications for most sound digital amplifiers. If it is an outdoor open space, such as your garden or private backyard, then you need more powerful audio amplifiers, you can choose an audio amplifier product with a total output that can reach 200W.  For our product line, you can pick 2 units of Up2stream Amp Mono amplifier board to group them to become a stereo system. This stereo system setup can power 100W for each mono channel, with a total 200W( 100watts left channel, 100watts right channel) at 24V, 4ohm. After the setup, just group the 2 pieces in our 4stream app and sync them as left channel and right channel.

Step 3: Network Connection

Above we based on the basic performance of the sound digital amplifier to make some choices. But for wireless audio amplifiers which have network streaming function, you must also take the network signal coverage into account. For example with our products, there is no limitation while using wifi connection, but if you use more than 10 units, then you need a higher performance router. You can check the signal in our 4stream app, we generally recommend that the signal should be above 90% to have better streaming experience. Or you can also choose to use the Lan cable connection, so there is no network signal issue. But doing this way, the wiring is a problem to consider. Except for this issue, the streaming will be more stable.

Step4: Audio Source Selection

Next, we have to consider our usual listening habits, such as the media we usually use, like Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, Napster or some famous online radio stations, like Tune In, Internet Radio, iHeart Radio etc. We may also have some private and exclusive playlists stored on our NAS cloud. All Arylic product lines support wireless streaming of these media, so there are plenty of options and no worries when it comes to online media. What you need to consider is that you may have other audio devices at home that you want to use together, such as Vinyl, CD Player, Audio receiver or TV, etc. For these devices you need to consider to see if there is a corresponding interface on the amplifier, which allows you to input the audio source into it. The common ones are 3.5mm jack audio input, RCA input, Opt input, Coax input and so on. It is worth noting that if the output voltage of your device does not reach 2vrms, then the use of our sound digital amplifier equipment may cause the problem of too low volume.

Step5: Output Options

In General, all amplifiers are to be used with passive speakers, so the output wiring is similar. Some amplifiers also allow you to connect active subwoofers, such as our A50+ wireless sound digital amplifier has a bass(sub) output channel to connect to your active subwoofers. That is, you can connect your 2.1 system in series, which you can wirelessly stream your 2.1 system. If you have the need to output to other devices, you can choose this kind of wireless sound digital amplifier product.

Acoustics is a complex study, it is our whole life to learn and study. In addition to the above elements, there are still many factors that will affect the listening. But I believe that after following the above guidance, you will have a better idea of what kind of wireless sound digital amplifier you should choose, and you can also follow this guide to choose the product that meets your needs. However, Arylic also has several wireless sound digital amplifiers, they have different advantages and features, let us take you to compare some of the main differences.

Looking to set up a wireless system for a house I am building (with two speakers located outside mounted in a covered alfresco area), perhaps four more covering the living and dining areas) Really keen to understand the capabilities of the two speakers that you make as I cannot find a single review and advise on whether the space involved is to much for such a small system
